DELIVERIES & RETURNS

At Lumbers Jewellers, we believe receiving your purchase should feel just as special as choosing it. We take great care in preparing and dispatching every order, ensuring it arrives safely and beautifully presented. DELIVERY INFORMATION

Every Lumbers purchase is exceptionally precious, and we take great care to ensure it arrives with you in perfect condition. All luxury jewellery and watch orders are shipped using Royal Mail or DHL fully tracked delivery services, with a signature required on delivery for complete peace of mind.

Orders placed before 2pm, Monday to Friday, will be dispatched the same day whenever possible. In some instances, dispatch may be affected by factors such as stock availability or bespoke requests. Should this occur, a member of our team will contact you promptly to discuss the options available and ensure a seamless experience.

Orders placed on Saturday or Sunday will be dispatched on the following Monday. Where a Bank Holiday applies, dispatch will take place on Tuesday.

With Lumbers, you can trust that your jewellery or timepiece will be delivered securely, discreetly, and with the utmost care, from our showroom to your door.

DELIVERY ESSENTIALS

Lumbers use a trackable delivery service, and in all cases, the deliveries will require a signature. When you receive your shipment confirmation this will include your tracking number which will allow you to track your parcel throughout the delivery process. The parcel will only be delivered to the address stated and cannot be left with a next-door neighbour. We aim to deliver all orders received before 2pm by the following day, Monday to Friday.

Our Next Day Delivery service is as standard, however, should you wish to ship to an alternative address there will be a shipping delay of approximately 48 hours due to admin and additional security checks. We reserve the right to decline postage to an alternative shipping address if we suspect fraud.

If you purchase via Interest-Free or Interest-Bearing Credit, the item must be shipped to the registered address. The item cannot be collected from store or shipped to an alternative address.

ORDER TRACKING NUMBER

Royal Mail Special Deliveries (UK): Once we package and ship your item(s) we will send you a confirmation of shipping email, this will include your tracking number.
International Deliveries: Once we package and ship your parcel through our international services (DHL Couriers), we will send you a confirmation of shipping email, this will include your tracking number.

We offer a tracked Next Day Delivery service for all UK orders. For orders over £200 this service is free of charge.
Our International delivery is chargeable based on the location, the cost will be shown at the checkout. For all International Deliveries we use DHL Couriers.

IMPORT DUTY FOR INTERNATIONAL DELIVERIES

If you order Products from our site for delivery outside the UK, then they may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied when the parcel reaches the specified destination. You will be responsible for ensuring that the product is not the subject of a trade embargo in the country to which it is shipped and for payment of any relevant import duties and taxes. Please note that we have no control over these charges and cannot therefore predict their amount. Please contact your local customs office, for further information before placing your order.

Please also note that you must comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the country for which the products are destined. We will not be liable for any breach by you of any such laws.

KEY DATES AND BANK HOLIDAYS

Christmas Delivery

Deliveries during busy periods such as Christmas or Black Friday may experience slight delays beyond our control. We will however notify you of a guaranteed Christmas delivery cut off.

Bank Holiday Deliveries

During Bank Holiday weekends we have a limited collection & delivery service, however our normal services resume on Tuesdays for delivery on Wednesday onwards. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Please call the showroom should you wish to discuss your specific order.

RETURNS & REFUNDS

RETURNS ESSENTIALS

If you would like to exchange or return an item purchased from our website, please contact our office team at office@lumbers.co.uk for details. Items must be returned in an unworn and original condition. Refunds can be requested from date of purchase and up to 14 days from receiving the goods and exchanges requested within 30 days of receipt.

Items purchased online should be returned via a traceable delivery service. We recommend Royal Mail Special Delivery; please ensure that you retain your proof of postage. Please also ensure that you obtain suitable insurance to cover the return of the parcel.

You are welcome to return your product directly to the showroom. Where we will accept the product, and your refund will be returned to your original form of payment automatically within 48 hours.

EXCLUSIONS

We cannot accept returns of items which have been engraved, personalised, or altered. We also cannot accept returns on items which have been bespoke made to your specifications.

Our promise to replace the item or refund your money does not apply if the returned item has faults or damage caused by accident, neglect or misuse whilst in your possession. All post is opened within our showroom under cameras to cover ourselves in regards to parcel scams.

RETURNS CHECKLIST

To ensure that you are eligible for a refund or exchange it is essential that you adhere to the return checklist detailed below:

 1. All tags and labels are in place and have not at any point been removed from the item.

 2. The item is unworn, free of any marks, scratches or other impediments that would prohibit it from being offered for re-sale.

 3. All instructions, guarantees, presentation packaging etc are unblemished and included with the item.

 4. The item is returned to us within 14 days of receiving it.

It is rare, but should you receive a faulty product or, if your item develops a fault within 30 days of receipt, then we will offer you the choice of a full refund or exchange.  This does not apply to failings or damages caused by accident, neglect, or misuse. Please contact the showroom should you find an issue or fault with your item as soon as possible.

Should you request a refund, then we will begin the process as soon as we have received the returned item. We will refund the money received from you. If you are returning the faulty item by post or courier service then you will also be entitled to a refund of the cost, equivalent to initial “postage” cost incurred by Lumbers when sending the item to you. The refund will usually be paid within 7 working days of receiving your returned item(s). We will not be liable to you for any fluctuations in currency exchange rates.

Orders placed via Finance will be cancelled within 14 days of the cancellation request.

CANCELLATIONS

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the right to cancel your order with us at any time from the date ordered up to 14 days of receiving your goods. In the event that we are unable to deliver your order within our standard delivery timescales you are entitled to cancel your order without incurring a penalty.

Should you cancel the contract we will then refund you the price which you have paid for the goods, this will include the delivery charge, if relevant. You are under a duty of care to ensure that reasonable care is taken of the goods, including ensuring that the goods must be unused. The goods should be returned via a traceable delivery service, with the relevant insurance to cover the cost of the goods.
